We are excited to announce a major upgrade to the Nonprofit Partner Center (http://nonprofits.causes.com)!  These changes mark the start of a new generation of Causes’ tools built specifically for nonprofits.  Now, our nonprofit partners will be able to use the Partner Center to:

  • Build and communicate with a network of “affiliate causes”
  • Access and analyze data for their supporters and causes
  • Run coordinated campaigns across any number of causes
  • Send targeted communications to supporters and causes
  • Track the efficacy of communications and campaigns
  • Co-administer individual affiliate causes

Dashboard

We’re adding to our nonprofit-specific tools because nonprofits 1) play a critical role in the Causes ecosystem and 2) have unique needs and goals that can’t be addressed solely by the current cause-based model we’ve pioneered through our application.

Regarding the first point, nonprofits develop programs, conduct research, anchor communities, tell stories that inform and inspire, and carry out much of the sustained on-the-ground work that is required for real impact.  As nonprofits carry out this work they create opportunities for concerned citizens to fund, advocate, teach, or volunteer for impact. One of Causes’ primary goals, then, is to help nonprofits connect with and build a broad base of communities—large or small—of people who care about and want to contribute to the work they are doing.

Therefore, if nonprofits are going to achieve their full potential on Causes—and in doing so help our 85 million users meaningfully contribute—we must give them tools to organize networks of causes, directly communicate with supporters across multiple causes, and use data and tracking to make informed decisions.  We have set out to do all this and more with the new Partner Center and we are confident that these upgrades will help nonprofits’ advocacy and fundraising campaigns reach more supporters in deeper and more impact-generating ways.

A few important notes for getting started:

PARTNERING

Partnering with Causes gives nonprofits access to free and premium tools and information that help them make the most of their presence on Causes.

  • If your nonprofit organization hasn’t signed up as a partner (easy to do and completely free), take a minute to do so here.
  • If you represent a partner organization but you’ve lost your login or password, visit http://nonprofits.causes.com to retrieve your information.

INSIDER’S GUIDE

We’ve put together a Nonprofit Insider’s Guide to help nonprofits take full advantage of the upgraded Partner Center.  Upload the guide for detailed instructions on each new tool and news about upcoming improvements we’re making to the Causes Application.  You can also see more Partner Center screen shots and tips on Causes Exchange.

TRAININGS

We’ve scheduled two upcoming training sessions that will include tips and best practices for the Partner Center.  Be sure to mark your calendars:

As always, we need and appreciate your feedback.  Please send thoughts or questions to our Nonprofit Team at partners@causes.com.

Excited to work with you,
