Getting Started on Causes: Setting up a cause and your Nonprofit Profile

Description: Whether you are new to Facebook or you think you might have gotten off on the wrong foot, there are a couple key things you need to do to get started using the Causes application.  In this informative webinar, Susan Gordon, Causes Nonprofit Coordinator, will walk through exactly how to get started using Causes and why you’d want to.  Then, she’ll dive into best practices, tips, and success stories of what makes a great cause, how to edit your existing cause in light of this new information, what being a nonprofit partner means and how to set yourself up for success on Facebook.

    I tried 3 days ago to set up a cause for my bday 9/18/09 and I finished everything and it kept gon=ing back and saying to put in a cuase and I kept putting it in and it kept erasing it so I quit and said forget it not worth the agrevation!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Since august this year I started a cause on facebook for the foundation El Arbol where I am the president, but this facebookcause does not work 100% well tecnicaly. When I send invitations to be supporter it does not always come to the ones I send it to and when it does come often the aprobation doesnot work. So altough people want to be supporter of this cause, the tecnic does not allow it.

    I would really like to find out how I can make use of the Causes function on my Facebook page Empowering-Communities. I have only just set up the FAcebook page and am struggling to work out how to get the best out of it. I can see how adding Causes to my page would be mutually beneficial but do not understand how to do it. Is there any chance of seeing the recording as I missed it. Thanks.
