Giving Challenge Tip of the Day: Use the cause “Welcome Note” to promote your Giving Challenge campaign

The Welcome Note is the first thing that new members of your cause see.  It includes a video or photo, as well as a message about the cause.  As a cause administrator, you can edit the Welcome Note by going to the “Admin Center” and clicking on “Welcome Note.”
The Welcome Note is a great opportunity to let new members know that you’re participating in the Giving Challenge and give them instructions for helping.  Be specific about how new members can help: donate $10, invite 10 friends to the cause, post the cause to your profile.  If you’ve made a video promoting your organization’s participation in the Challenge, include that on the Welcome Note!  It’s a great way for you to get your message out and get your new supporters involved as soon as they join.

“Thanks for your support!  We’re currently in fifth place in America’s Giving Challenge and have a chance to win $50,000!  Please donate $10 today and invite 10 of your friends to join the cause and do the same.”

“Welcome to our cause!  You joined at a very exciting time – we are competing in America’s Giving Challenge for the chance to win $50,000.  Now that you’re a member, please consider making a $10 donation to help us win and your donation will go directly to our programs in [explain impact]. Great to have you in our community – thank you again for joining!”
