The Giving Challenge is all about mobilizing people to take action. It’s the number of donations that counts and not the amount donated. For that reason, some of the most valuable people on your cause right now are the top fundraisers. So far, the Giving Challenge has raised over $1 million dollars through the work of adamant activists and leaders in your cause communities. Make sure you check out your cause’s hall of fame, keep track of who is recruiting or fundraising for your cause and thank them for their hard work. You can even take it one step further and offer an incentive to the top fundraiser on the cause! Camfed recently used this model to incentivize a recruitment campaign they were running. They awarded the top recruiter on the cause with a trip to Africa to see the work they’re doing in person. What do you have to offer your supporters? The incentive could be as small as gear from your organization or as big as a trip or admission to your annual conference. Think creatively and let your cause members know both the impact of their donations, recruiting and fundraising.
