will.i.am has launched the i.am Hope for Haiti Contest! The top 10 fundraisers for this cause will be invited, along with a guest, to attend a charity event with will.i.am on the evening of April 1st, 2010, in San Jose, CA. Contest winners will have an opportunity to spend an evening with will.i.am and friends and “party for a cause.” The top 3 fundraisers will also each receive 2 free tickets to the Black Eyed Peas concert on April 2nd in San Jose!
The cause is fundraising for Oxfam’s earthquake relief efforts in Haiti. Oxfam has an emergency team based in Port-au-Prince responding with public health, water and sanitation services to prevent the spread of waterborne disease. Join the cause to learn more about Oxfam’s work in Haiti.
The contest will close on February 12th, 2010 at 11:59 pm PST, so there are still 12 days left to move into the ranks of the top fundraisers on the cause!
How do you become a top fundraiser? Here are some ways to get started:
- Invite 20 friends to the cause.
- Thank your friends who join the cause and ask them to donate.
- Let your friends know about the cause by clicking “Tell Friends” on the fundraising project. You can post about the cause to your wall and directly invite your friends to donate!

To raise money for victims in Haiti, I’ve started Hai-Tee Relief and am selling t-shirts for people to wear their support. All the net proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross and Doctors Without Borders. The first goal is to raise $1,000.
I hope you will pass this along to your friends, family, co-workers, etc. and buy a t-shirt to support the victims of the Haiti earthquake.
Also, I am accepting artwork for shirts, so anyone who would like to submit a t-shirt design, I will gladly put it up on the website.
